Are you interested in Gymnastics well here’s how I got started. I saw a lot of friends doing it so I thought I wanted to try it. So now I am in it. I go to High Flyers Gymnastics. When I first got started I was in Novice 1.
When we first get in the gymnastics arena we stretch. Stretching is important because you don't want to pull a muscle. First we do pit laps. Pit laps is a foam pit and we jump and climb through it 3 times. If we don't run. This helps us warm up our bodies and help us not to hurt a muscle.One way we stretch is we do splits. We start by sitting down in straddle. You lean over to one side and try to touch your toes. Then you go to the other side and then reach for the middle. After that, you push your feet together and flex your feet up and reach for them and if you can pull them up!
When you are in Novice 1 you learn how to do a cartwheel, a handstand, round off,forward roll, backwards roll, and last but not least a backbend and more.
There are 4 events which are Vault,floor,beam and bars.You have to get every single trick to move to the next level.
Vault is a event where you run on a little trampoline.Hands then feet.Then you do a jump off. You can straddle jump a pike jump or straight jump.The beam is a event of balance. In advanced gymnastics gymnast make a routine on it. Floor is a bouncy floor. There are springs under the floor to help you jump and do flips.You will eventually learn tricks and flips. When we first gymnastics we stretch.Then practice things like forward relave and halfway backwards relave,roundoff,cartwheel backwards roll and more. Next,bars includes strength. In our gymnastics we practice glide swings,dips pull over cast and more.
